Football News - Premier League POWER RANKINGS: Four new entries in top 10
Description
Each week throughout the 2019-20 season, Sportsmail will bring you a Power Rankings table, listing the top 10 hottest players in the Premier League. As the stories of the season unravel, the rankings will provide a form guide with players moving in and out of the top 10 depending on both their performances in the previous fixtures and also in recent weeks. So, who wins a place in the 15th edition of our Power Rankings? 10. Gabriel Jesus (New entry)Sergio Aguero's injury-enforced absence for Manchester City has handed Gabriel Jesus a golden opportunity to stake his claim. After missing some big chances in the weekend draw with Newcastle, he was handed another chance to impress at Burnley on Tuesday. He took it with two hands. A delightful curling finish past Nick Pope put City ahead and he doubled their lead with an instinctive finish inside the box.The Brazil star will have Manchester United in his sights now this weekend. 9. James Maddison (Up One)Another timely goal from James Maddison, this week making sure of the points with the second in a 2-0 win over Watford. The England international has been a consistent presence as Leicester have forced their way up the Premier League table. His constant scheming and creativity in midfield have been vital, and if he keeps chipping in with goals then Leicester's incredible winning run surely won't end at seven. LAST WEEK'S TOP 10 10. James Maddison9. Son Heung-min8. Bernd Leno7. Sadio Mane6. James Ward-Prowse5. Kevin De Bruyne4. Wilfried Zaha3. Jamie Vardy2. Dele Alli1. Virgil van Dijk 8. Dele Alli (Down six)It was a vintage, almost trademark Dele Alli goal that got Tottenham back into the game at Old Trafford on Wednesday night. With one touch Alli hooked the ball out of the sky, over the heads of Fred and Ashley Young, and put himself in on goal, before finishing past David de Gea.It was reminiscent of the famous goal he scored against Crystal Palace in 2016, and further evidence that he is approaching his best form once again. He's been a player rejuvenated under Jose Mourinho, and this goal proves the renaissance is real. 7. Raheem Sterling (New entry)It has been a quiet few weeks for Raheem Sterling. But there are signs he is coming back into the kind of form that made him unstoppable in the early part of this season. He followed a well-taken goal at Newcastle at the weekend with a tidy performance as City romped past Burnley. 6. Wilfried Zaha (Down two)After a quiet start to the season following a summer where he didn't get the big move he craved, Wilfried Zaha has knuckled down. And Crystal Palace are now reaping the benefits. Zaha scored two in two games before the visit of Bournemouth, where he was electric as Palace downed the Cherries at Selhurst Park. The Ivory Coast international has helped Roy Hodgson's side cement their place in the top half of the table. They're seventh now, and just two points outside the top five. 5. Kevin De Bruyne (No change)Manchester City's return to form at Burnley on Tues
