Gingerbread Recipe
½ cup room temperature butter
½ cup brown sugar
2/3 cup molasses
2 eggs
4 cup flour
½ tsp baking soda
½ tsp salt
½ tsp cloves
1 tsp ginger
1 tsp cinnamon

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2. In a hand-held mixer or stand mixer fitted with a paddle attachment, add the butter and brown sugar and beat on medium high speed until combined and creamy-looking.
Scrape down the sides and bottom of the bowl as needed.
3. Add the molasses slowly while the mixer is on low speed. Scrape down the sides of the bowl as needed.
4. Next, beat in eggs one at a time. Scrape down the sides and bottom of the bowl as needed.
5. In a separate bowl, whisk the flour, baking soda, salt, ginger, cinnamon, and cloves together until combined. On low speed, slowly mix into the wet ingredients until
combined.
6. Roll out the dough on a floured surface to about a 1/4 inch. Cut out cookie with cutters using the template provided and place on a parchment paper lined baking sheet.
7. Bake for about 10 min or until the edges start to get some colour and the top is firm.

Royal Icing Recipe
4 cups of icing sugar
3 tbsp. of meringue powder
8 tbsp. of water

1. In a large bowl using a hand mixer or a stand mixer fitted with a whisk attachment, beat all of the icing ingredients together on high speed for 5 minutes.
2. If it’s too thick add a tiny bit more water, and if it’s too runny add more icing sugar and mix again for a minute.
3. Keep the icing bowl covered with a damp cloth or a lid when you’re not using it or it will harden!

The best or nothing.
