A tribute to one of my most cherished tv characters.
Saying i love him feels reductive. I honestly don't remember a moment during all my years watching Greys in which I wasn't rooting for him, or crying over him, or laughing with him. He fills my whole damn heart in the purest, most tender way possible. All the sadness, hurt, joy, love over the years. Back when he was an emotionally stunted insufferable kid hiding under a devil-may-care attitude. To when he opened up little by little; to when he was dealt blow after blow after blow and just kept going. His resilience. His vulnerability. Hig grumpiness. His grin. His big damn heart. Everything makes me cry.
In fact I'm crying right now while typing.

I don't wanna say much else, because I've poured my heart and soul in this video. I'm glad it was the first edit I started way back when I decided to rewatch Greys. I was able to include really old stuff that I probably would've overlooked if I had started it later on. I feel it all came full circle with him. I worked hard on the parallels and callbacks, yes. But honestly, they are - right THERE - if you know where and how to look. It's crazy, getting 16 years worth of character development and have it feel like it makes sense. Getting him into Peds, considering his childhood, was the smartest thing the show has ever done. His whole journey pulls at my heart strings. King of character development.

Also, I'm satisfied with how many characters I managed to fit into this. It always feels empty when a character study revolves just around said character. I like to focus on their interactions with other people. I hope that's appreciated, even if you dislike a specific character.

Anyway. I've worked on this for.. years now. lol It's worth it, tho. Hope you enjoy.
