Do not let circumstances control you, you change your circumstances, the young Midhunjith from Wayanad, Kerala had this credence when he started his journey of martial arts at the age of 8. This marine engineer is the only Indian to hold the World Kickboxing Championship and International Karate Championship at the same time. He started his martial arts career from an early age and after so many failures won his first competition at the age of 10, the same year he became the karate national champion for the first time. From there on his story of winning continued with, seventeen National Karate Championship and twenty-one State Karate Championship. As years passed his career in karate become admirable with earning International Karate Championship 2 times, Indo-Sri Lanka karate championship, and National Open fight champion 3 times. Midhun's passion for martial arts didn't constrict within karate, he also became proficient in Muay Thai, Taekwondo, Kickboxing, Judo, Wrestling. Every ring he visited perceived the defeat of his enemy. He won the Indian National Open Kickboxing Championship and World Kickboxing Championship in 2013. In the year 2012 he acquired the King of Kumite title.
For an Indian becoming a prominent figure in martial arts is very difficult due to the unfavorable circumstances in India, Midhunjith became an inspiration for all those young dreamers by becoming the first Guinness World Record holder to win a World Kickboxing Federation World Championship. He earned his first Guinness world record in June 2011, by breaking attempt against Ahmad Husain from Pakistan for most martial arts kicks in 1 minute, with 288 kicks in one minute he broke the then-record of 190 kicks.
Because of the issues related to the video footage, Guinness records authorities requested he retries his attempt. Four months later Raul C. Meza from the United States broke Ahmad Husain's record with a new record of 281 kicks in one minute. On 28 October 2011 Midhunjith beat Meza's record with 310 kicks in one minute and also created his own Guinness World Record of 608 martial arts kicks in 3 minutes.
Midhun Jith's life changed in 2012, when he received an invitation from Golden Glory for the training session, Thailand. He became skillful in Dutch kickboxing and Muay Thai under the training of Bas Boon among others. He trained along with the world-renowned personalities like Gokan Sakhi, Alister Overeem, Semmy Schilt.
Intense hard work from Golden glory made him world champion in 2013. He won World Championship in Zagreb, Croatia in 2013. He paved his path to winning by training in top profile training centers including Golden Glory, Tiger Muay Thai. Midhun Jith is the first person in the world to achieve the trifecta of breaking the Guinness World Record, winning the International Karate Championship, and the World Kickboxing Championship at the same time. His excellence in the martial arts helped him to secure the position of general secretary, one the highest position of Asian Kenyu Ryu Karate Federation. The young Midhun jith who started from the rural town of Wayanad had only a dream of becoming champion. And today the world champion Midhun Jith has an extraordinary story about how he became one. He made his path in the world of martial arts by his hard work and determination. Also, he is an entrepreneur and still on his way to more achievements and makes every Indian proud.
