Gulmarg - Traveling to Kashmir After Abrogation of Article 370 as a Solo Tourist - E02

I visited Kashmir for the sixth time in January during its Internet shutdown time. This is my experience as a tourist in a place that welcomes me with open arms!

There is no doubt that the local businesses have been negatively impacted, especially for the people who rely on tourism. This was my effort to give back to the locals and contribute to their economy.

Here are a few tips if you are planning to travel to this region -

1. Postpaid and LOCAL prepaid sims work
2. There is still an Internet shutdown, however, you will find broadband connectivity in some of the hotels along with 2G connectivity
3. Book the flights that run in the second half of the day; due to bad weather the chances of flight cancellation in the first half of the day is more
