Ronnie Russell famously saved Princess Anne’s life in 1974, when he happened to be passing by during an attempted kidnap. Ronnie tackled gunman Ian Ball and saved the Princess Royal. In return for his bravery, the Queen awarded Ronnie The George Medal. He swore he’d never part with his most treasured possession, but due to a bout of ill-health and rising debt, Ronnie is now being forced to sell his medal to pay for his own funeral. He joins us today to share his incredible story.
