Description

We got an inside look at how United States Marine Corps recruits are trained to fight each other in hand-to-hand combat basic training. James Cimino, the training is intended to prepare Marines to defend themselves in combat when they no longer have the option of using one of their weapons. Senior video correspondent Graham Flanagan spent four days at the Marine Corps Recruit Depot in Parris Island, SC, where he observed various stages of training.
