How to get into the footstraps? Freeride Web Clinic - Ep. 6

Today we cover one of the issues that stops beginners from progressing into the intermediate level quickly and smoothly - GETTING INTO THE FOOTSTRAPS:
To easily get in the footstaps:
1. Place them as close to the middle of the board as possible
2. Find a flatwater spot
3. Hook in the harness lines and get planning
4. Go slightly downwind and increase your speed
5. Put your weight on the harness and on the boom
5.1 Slide your front foot as close to the footstrap as possible
6. Step into the front footstrap
7. Stabilise, go downwind and get more speed
8. Slide your back foot so that you can touch and feel the back footstrap
9. Slide your back foot in the footstrap
