Hi everyone, my name is Kendra, and this is the story of how I gave birth to triplets at 15 and ended up with the police in my hospital room the very same day.

It started when I was transferred to a new school. After three days of struggling to make friends, I met Christian. He invited me to sit with him and for the first time, I wasn’t alone. Pretty soon, we were spending all our time together. I was head over heels for him.

I didn’t realize I was pregnant with his kid until I was 3 months pregnant. When I saw the positive test, I was sure my life was over.

While I was trying to figure out how to tell people, my mom found the test in the trash can. She was so angry, she kicked me out of the house. I had to go stay with my older sister, and she lived in a trailer on the other side of town with two screaming kids of her own. Living there was going to be a nightmare, but I didn’t really have a choice.

Then, I had to tell Christian. I was expecting him to run or to scream at me, but he took me by the hand and he told me words I’ll never forget: “I’ll love and protect you until the day I die, my angel.” Come on, how could I not love this man?!

When I went in for my first ultrasound, Christian was right there holding my hand. But when the doctor looked at the screen, his face went ghost white. He called another doctor in. Then another. Soon, he broke the news: it was triplets.

I looked up to see Christian’s reaction. I wanted him to tell me it was going to be okay, to let me know he was going to be there for me…but he just stared at the screen with sweat rolling down his face. Not exactly the comfort I was looking for...
