Hello, everyone. My name is Phoenix, I’m 18 years old, and I have been trapped in my house for 10 years!

So, when I was 8, the most horrific thing happened. As my parents were pretty busy most of the time, both working full-time and devoting their lives to their careers, we’d always have one week in a year that we’d spend together. During this week, we’d travel, hike up the mountains, and bond. I was always anticipating this vacation and I’d keep imagining all the crazy adventures we’d go through.

Well, I’d have never imagined what happened to me that specific year. My parents decided that we’d go up the mountains, hiking and camping together. But I had just gotten my own phone at that time, so I was really excited to text my friends. My mom was furious. As all three of us were walking, she heard my phone buzzing and couldn’t take it anymore. She walked up to me, took my phone and said that I’d get it back after the trip. I think she regrets that decision to this day.

We were near the place where we had planned to set up camp when I heard someone screaming in the woods. My mom told me to stay near the road with our backpacks as they went to look. They went into that direction and disappeared behind the trees. I sat on the road, waiting... It seemed like they were gone for a while. That’s when I heard a couple of motorbikes somewhere close. I was 8, so I immediately got scared as no one else was around.

Some guys appeared out of nowhere. They seemed aggressive, dangerous. One of them growled at me, “Hey, kid!” I felt my heart beating fast. They were getting closer and I felt like they were up to no good, so I... ran. I left all of our things and ran. I think I heard one of them chasing me, but he stopped once he realized that I’d left all my belongings there. I stopped running after 20 minutes or so. I heard birds chirping, but no people were around. I thought that maybe I’d see my parents somewhere, but I had no idea where they’d gone and I was too scared to shout ‘cause the biker guys might come back...
