Hi, my name is Poppy, and I ended up in the hospital after I was ghosted by a guy. I know, I know, that sounds pretty dramatic –but trust me, it was.When I was little, everyone assumed I was going to be a star. Honestly, I thought I was going to be a star. I started gymnastics when I was 2 or 3. Within a few years, I was doing handsprings, cartwheels, round-offs, walkovers, you name it. By the time I was 5, scouts started talking to me about being in the olympics one day.I was all in. I would go to gymnastics, go to school, then go to gymnastics until bed. I lived and breathed that sport, and I was so excited about where it was going to take me. I won countless competitions and awards, and I was at the top of my game.But when I entered high school, I started to lose my confidence a bit. All my friends wanted to hang out, but I was always in gymnastics. I felt like I didn’t have any freedoms. My friends were kissing boys, riding around town until midnight, going to the movies and the malls together, making Tik Toks together, and I was out of the loop
