India records one million reported coronavirus cases
Description
India is close to becoming the third country in the world to reach one million reported coronavirus cases.
Following the United States and Brazil, the South Asian country has struggled against the pandemic.
After initially reacting slowly to the virus, the entire 1.4 billion population of India were put into lockdown.
Since restrictions have eased, individual regional lockdowns are being enforced to keep coronavirus rates under control.
But there are still major concerns for India's countryside where there is only basic sanitation and a less developed healthcare system.
Testing is still limited throughout the country and medics are even going door-to-door to help those with symptoms.
