Indian Railways takes big decision, halts passenger services till 31st March

Cancellation of train services

Indian Railway decided that the cancellation of all Passenger train services shall be extended till 24:00 hours of 31st March as follows

All originating long distance Mail Express and Intercity trains and all originating passenger trains shall remain cancelled till 31st March

As advised earlier Suburban trains and trains of Metro railway Kolkata shall be continued at bare minimum level until 24:00 hours of 22nd March. There after all Suburban trains and trains of Metro Railway a Kolkata shall be totally cancelled till 31st March.

Freight operation shall continue
