Investing in India: Youth Development
Description
Since 1956, Lions have been a staple in Indian communities. Moreover, Lions Clubs International Foundation (LCIF) has bolstered and elevated the work of the Lions in India through disbursements totaling more than $100 million in grants and the development of over 2,000 projects over the years.
Lions Quest, Lions’ signature youth development program, prepares young people to be confident and compassionate. Students learn key 21st century skills such as goal setting, responsible decision-making, and teamwork to prepare them for adulthood and encourages them to become leaders in their community and country. “That is what we need,” said Dr. S. Nagraj Rao, MD 317 Lions Quest chairperson and a member of Bangalore Someshwarapura Lions Club. “Leaders in industry, leaders in colleges, leaders in social circles.”
LCIF’s continued work in India underscores our capabilities to be a signature Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Partner.
