Italy confirms 3,233 new COVID-19 cases on Monday, total death toll at 2,158

The coronavirus continues to sweep Italy, with the death toll now surpassing the two-thousand mark.
According to the country's health authorities on Monday, a total of two-thousand-one-hundred-58 people have died.
Over 3-thousand-two-hundred more people were confirmed positive on Monday... the fourth consecutive day of over 3-thousand new confirmed cases a day.
That also makes up the total of almost 28-thousand confirmed cases in Italy.
Switzerland has declared a national emergency over the outbreak.
Speaking on Monday, the Swiss President said "strong action is needed" and it's needed now.
For one month, all shops, bars, restaurants and entertainment facilities will close, but grocery stores, pharmacies and health facilities will remain open.
Switzerland is also tightening its border controls with Germany, Austria and France as well as Italy.
