Soft expositional commentary, meaning that we did not TAKE a super deep study of the chapter, but have read the chapter for years and the LORD has placed on our hearts to share on this channel

One thing about Judges chapters 14-16 is that we can glean and learn a lot of information about Samson and his struggles, Samson as the LORD GOD's chosen one to fight against the Philistines, the harsh enemies of God's people according to TORAH Bible, God's people referring to the JEWS/HEBREWS/ISRAELITES

Samson had long hair and that was his special and or secret strength in which he had power to fight 1000 men at the same time, incredible strength given him from GOD to tear a LION with his own bare hands, amazing, thrilling, and almost unbelievable to see a man tear a lion with his own hands, or to fight 1000 men and kill them with a donkeys (ass of a jawbone) jawbone

The powerful, brother Samson tears off the doors of the gate of the city, two posts, went away with them bar and all in Judges 16. So as we read the book of Judges, especially 14-16 chapters, we realize that we can learn from the chapters over and over again

In other words, I can pick a verse and learn or glean something from it like for example in Judges 14 verses 5-11 Samson fights a lion. This lion that Samson has to battle can allow us to "brainstorm" many different scenarios of learning, different facets almost like a vine, or branches all connected

So when I read that Samson killed a lion with his hands, I IMAGINE myself being alone like Samson in that situation, and how the Spirit of the Lord would come upon Samson or myself and that Samson had that type of power to literally tear a lion

And when I think about that how he tore a lion apart dead, could kill 1000 men by himself with a donkeys jawbone, and even when they (Philistines) plucked out Samsons eyes, after his fall, his hair grew back, and Gods grace was again rekindled or established and Samson once again had his supernatural strength, and Samson pushed down 2 PILLARS in the location where the house standeth in which were nearly 3000 people in Judges 16. Samson has such strong power that he pushed down 2 pillars and historically and archeologically, experts have discovered that this was definitely truthful

Some men are so strong, but are so weak when it comes to beautiful women.

In the 14th chapter of Judges Samson puts forth a riddle during the feast when he is married to his Philistine wife

The riddle causes a death threat to Samson's wife, that the Philistines are to know the answer to the riddle FROM SAMSONS WIFE, and if she does not give the riddle information to her people the Philistines, they will burn her with fire

She is panicky and crying the whole 7 days of the feast or at least wept it says, she is nagging, and bugging him, and over and over again he is getting drained

Samson the powerful, power house man of GOD is weakened by a beautiful woman, and this causes him to TELL HIS WIFE THE RIDDLE, which in turn forces SAMSON TO pay the PHILISTINES their 30 change garments

From the eternal perspective, unfortunately SPIRITUAL WARFARE is real, and we see how powerful the ENEMY OF GOD'S PEOPLE were!! Just like Pharaoh in EGYPT, Samson fought his powerful, slick enemies until his literal death in Judges 16
