Rare demo written by Don Cook, Gary Nicholson, and Keith Whitley.
The remastered version, available on his 1995 posthumous CD of the same name, only reached #75 on the U.S. Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks, according to Wikipedia. Regardless of the remastered or demo version, I'm dumbfounded this didn't make the Top 10, let alone Top 20, or #1 like I think it deserved. It goes to show how fast country music had shifted decades ago.
