Knicks Trade Rumors: 4 Players The Knicks Could Trade Before NBA Trade Deadline Feat. Marcus Morris
Description
The New York Knicks have had one of the worst starts to this NBA season. After trading away their only star on last year’s roster in Kristaps Porzingis, the Knicks are in full rebuild mode. One of those players acquired from the Dallas Mavericks was Dennis Smith Jr. Dennis Smith Jr. has struggled a lot this season, and that could make him a prime candidate to be traded this year. Frank Ntilikina and Elfrid Payton have outplayed Dennis Smith Jr. for the first two point guard spots in the rotation. Dennis Smith Jr. could benefit from a change of scenery.
The Knicks signed a plethora of power forwards this past summer, and one of the ones that has been tossed around in trade rumors the most has been Marcus Morris. Morris has arguably been the Knicks best scorer all season long and can play either position on both sides of the floor. The Los Angeles Lakers, LA Clippers and Philadelphia 76ers have all reportedly shown interest in Marcus Morris and could look to make a trade for him prior to the NBA trade deadline. What might it take to get Marcus Morris away from the Knicks? We take a look at that in today’s video.

Another one of the Knicks’ big men that may be on the move is Bobby Portis. Bobby Portis had an outstanding season with the Washington Wizards last year, but his game has not translated to the Knicks this year. Multiple teams have been showing interest in acquiring Bobby Portis prior to the NBA trade deadline from the New York Knicks, but since he is still a young piece with room to grow, could the Knicks hold onto him past the trade deadline?
The biggest fish the Knicks landed, besides the number two overall pick RJ Barrett, was Julius Randle. Randle was a near 20-point, 10-rebound player every single night last year for the New Orleans Pelicans, but his productivity has dropped off a bit since his move to New York. His numbers have still been relatively good, but he has been inefficient and his defensive presence has been almost non-existent. Julius Randle can still be a productive player on the right team, but he is not made to be the go-to player that the Knicks are forcing him to be on this lottery-bound team. Randle still has room to grow, but he may not grow to his full potential with the Knicks. Could it be time for a trade from New York?
