Presenter: Dr. Yogendra Pal
Project Research Scientist
Computer Science and Engineering Department
IIT Bombay
About Dr. Yogendra Pal:
I finished Ph.D. in Educational technology from Educational Technology department of IIT Bombay in 2016. At present, I am working in CSE department of IIT Bombay as Project Research Scientist. I have spent a lot of time in search of hardware, software, services, framework, programming languages that can be used in either content development or in content delivery. I am creating educational videos since 2009 and I have recorded more than 10,000 videos until the end of 2019.

About this talk:
With the time, software are evolving, hardware are getting cheaper and new social media platforms make it easy to reach out to students. There can not be a better time than this to start developing educational content. Most of the teachers and educational institutes are not aware of the available tools and techniques for educational content development and this is why they are unable to participate in it. Creating and publishing correct and good educational content is not only beneficial for the society but it also helps a teacher or educational institute to build his/her name as a brand.

In this talk, I will share the know-how and insights I have gained in the past ten years by running a successful educational YouTube channel - “Learn By Watch”, with emphasis on the role of EdTech principles. This talk can help you to identify the resources required to start an educational channel, plan a content development strategy, separate myths from trends, and start creating content immediately with the available resources.
