Luca Corberi and Sim Racing's Unsolvable Problem
Description
Typically art imitates life, others times life imitates art. What's most interesting in the world of sim racing is that its uniquely unsolvable problem is imitated from real life motorsport, yet we don't see it in any other sports genres of gaming: exploitable etiquette and foul play. Let me explain the what and why, as controversially demonstrated by recently rising kart racing driver Luca Corberi who in a matter of minutes turned himself into one of the most disgraced figures in motorsport history (along with his father Marco Corberi) during the final round of the FIA Karting World Championship 2020. The Corberi's have received worldwide attention and criticism for their violence on and off the track, with millions of racing fans calling for the father and son to be permanently banned from motorsport, including public pleas by Formula 1 champion Jenson Button and fellow ex-F1 driver Felipe Massa. Those with extravagant senses of entitlement are most often the ones who take to dirty driving the fastest, which we will explore in this video.
