Mathew McKnight assault video shown in court

On Aug. 14, 2016, a man attacked McKnight at the Edmonton Remand Centre, punching him multiple times and delivering seven kicks after McKnight fell to the ground.
McKnight said he had no opportunities to alert the guards to the threats without tipping off the cellmate. He said guards had called him names, and he worried they might not respond to his concerns.
