Max Planck - uOttawa Centre for Extreme and Quantum Photonics
Description
The Centre for Extreme and Quantum Photonics is a partnership between the University of Ottawa, the Max Planck Institute for the Science of Light and the Max Planck Institute for Quantum Optics, in Germany.
The partnership between these state-of-the-art facilities, established in 2015, has had a successful first five-year term and the next five years will surpass it.
On their own, these facilities were leaders in photonics research. Together, they have become a world-renowned photonics research hub, greatly widening the range of research activities.
The MPC provides opportunities for exchanges through fellowships, workshops and a summer school, which allow young researchers to explore different scientific cultures and take their research to new heights.
