MD 11 LANDING with EPIC WATER SPLASH - The legendary McDonnell Douglas MD-11 Landing, Departure (4K)

A video dedicated to the beautiful McDonnell Douglas MD-11 - My favorite airplane and just a piece of art. I recorded the first clip at Liege in 2017 and I am convinced this is the best MD11 clip I will ever film. Just after a rain shower the sun appeared out of nowhere and while it was still raining at my filming position the MD11 reversed on runway 24L while the runway was extremly wet. You can see the beautiful symbiosis of nature and aviation in the first clip.

The operators of the first MD11` s were Western Global. Currently WGA is one of the biggest MD11 operators with approximately 16 active airfracmes. They have a maintenance base at Shreveport where they frequently maintain their MD11` s and 2 B747`s.
