Meet Dakota (Date #7) | Brooklyn's 10 Dates in 10 Days

Brooklyn is going on 10 DATES in 10 DAYS! (This #10DatesIn10Days is mostly for fun, but we are all "secretly" hoping she finds her BOO!) You'll meet Dakota today, after meeting Kayden, Brooks, Matt, Kohl, Ethan, and Jorge previously. Our friend, and partner in Beddy's Beds, Betsy Mikesell is the brainchild behind this series! She took applications her IG, set up and coordinated all the dates with these great young men, and went on the dates as the "film crew" to capture our interviews and candid shots of us together when the date and I were not vlogging.

After Betsy dropped me off on Date #7, an all day date, she and most of her family {Gentry and BrockAndBoston} decided to go flying with some friends of theirs, Shad and Jazlyn Field. Shad is a pilot. About an hour into the flight, the plane crashed leaving serious injuries to Gentry, and Shad. While everyone survived, and several miracles prevented a much more devastating outcome, Betsy, Jazlyn, Brock, and Boston had relatively few injuries... there is a LONG road of healing for Gentry and Shad. They are all heroes!

I found out much later in the day, and it crushed me. Kudos to Dakota, my date who is friends with Shad and Jazlyn, for being so supportive and helpful. He is seriously and angel! With three dates to go, I wanted to just cancel the remaining dates for the next day. Betsy, who drove home with me late that night, begged me to keep going. She and the boys said it was the only bright thing to look forward to amongst all the bad news. Kaitlyn, Betsy's assistant, helped me finish the dates.

While everyone survived, The Mikesell's and Feild's need your prayers and support. I was studying for the GMAT anyway, so I extended my trip for a full week to be there at the house with the Mikesell's just to help take care of them.
