A family owned and operated business, American Vision Windows began more than 18 years ago with the sole purpose of helping fellow homeowners save money by keeping their homes better insulated.

Founding owners, husband and wife team Bill and Kathleen Herren, started out as ordinary customers, looking to upgrade their own home with replacement windows and patio doors.

With a two-story house full of aluminum windows, Bill and Kathleen were constantly battling the drastic temperature difference between upstairs and downstairs. Also, with a new baby boy in the house, they were concerned about a draft near his crib.

Seeking an energy-saving solution, they began to learn about the benefits of all types of windows that reduce noise and energy costs, for a more secure home.

Unfortunately, they found a series of poor contractors and a need for impressive service that customers can rely on. Other companies were taking deposits and then closing up shop, or giving customers sub-par installations and bad warranties.

When they began the journey of getting new windows, they found that many companies just didn’t seem to care about them. The company even installed flimsy, single-strength windows that shattered when one of the kids leaned his rocking chair against it.

After such a painful experience, they decided to start a window company that focused on loving people well.

Now, American Vision Windows gives their customers everything that Bill and Kathleen didn’t get: friendly and timely service, knowledgeable contractors, and employees that care about you.
