Military Has No Martyrs | Shaheed & Martyr Meaning - Explained
Description
Here is a video about Why Military Has No Martyrs? Explained Shaheed and Martyr are religious terms, Both words have very specific meanings in Islamic and Christian history.
Every time we lose a soldier in action, there is widespread and impassioned display of emotion by the citizenry which is quite heartening. Then perhaps out of the same passion, many citizens question the media when it reports such casualties with varied epithets, demanding that such soldiers should only be referred as ‘martyrs’.
Though this demand comes only out of respect for our soldiers, paradoxically this term is neither soldierly nor appropriate for warriors who make the supreme sacrifice in battle.
No Term Like 'Martyr' Or 'Shaheed' In Army Or Police: Defence, Home Ministries.
