Description
Indian Police Service officer Param Bir Singh has made allegations of corruption against Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh, days after the police officer was replaced as Mumbai Police Commissioner. Mr Deshmukh had said some "unforgivable" lapses had been revealed in the Mukesh Ambani security scare probe under the police chief. The police officer has sent a letter to the Chief Minister alleging the Home Minister "had a target to accumulate ₹ 100 crore a month". Mr Singh was transferred to the Home Guard in a fallout of the investigation against police officer Sachin Waze, arrested in the case of a car full of explosives found near the home of Reliance Industries chairman Mukesh Ambani, India's richest man.
