Kirk Cousins and the Minnesota Vikings take on Drew Brees and the New Orleans Saints in our most intriguing NFL Playoffs matchup of the weekend. Who will be the fantasy football standouts? Who are the right daily fantasy football plays this week? And who will win this game against the spread?
This video showcases matchups, Minnesota Vikings Stats, New Orleans Saints Stats and predicts how the Minnesota Vikings will win this game and how the New Orleans Saints will win this game. Later, we give this matchup’s fantasy football and daily fantasy football analytics.
The Minnesota Vikings are a strong team, but they had key injuries late in the season. Kirk Cousins has had a nice year, but he hasn’t been the best quarterback in big games. The Vikings need Dalvin Cook and Alexander Mattison back in order to open up more opportunities for Adam Thielen, Stefon Diggs and Kyle Rudolph. The real question is whether or not the Minnesota Vikings defense can stop the New Orleans Saints offense.
The New Orleans Saints are playing wonderfully. Drew Brees and Michael Thomas are doing things we’ve never seen. It’s as if Alvin Kamara is an after thought which is incredible to say. The New Orleans Saints defense needs to stop the Minnesota Vikings running game to advance.
The Minnesota Vikings have been very strong since they made the move to Ryan Tannehill at quarterback. His steady play has allowed Derrick Henry to have more space and AJ Brown and Corey Davis are playing much better in the passing game. Jonnu Smith is also playing well at tight end and the Minnesota Vikings defense has plenty of time to rest on the sidelines while the offense is moving the ball.
The New Orleans Saints defense is carrying this team, but don’t count Tom Brady out. This offense is maligned in the media, but they are still scoring in the top 10 in the NFL. Sony Michel needs to pick it up and James White might be the guy that carries the day. Julian Edelman will have a nice day, but the Saints need another receiver to step up.
