Moon Art Project

It is time for the school art auction project. This year I cut out a lunar surface onto a large 30 by 30 inch slab of walnut. Next, I cut that walnut into 36 five inch squares. We took those squares to school and had the students make lunar landers, rovers, rockets, or whatever they could imagine on the surface of their piece of the moon. I then put all of the pieces back together in a grid and created a moon city as our art project for this year.
