1. ALBERT EINSTEIN
Einstein is generally considered the most influential physicist of the 20th century. He had many discoveries as a scientist but is most known for his Theory of Relativity. This theory changed much in the way scientists look at the world and set the foundation for many modern inventions, including the nuclear bomb and nuclear energy. Which also revolutionized our understanding of space, time, gravity, and the universe.
2. ABRAHAM LINCOLN
Lincoln is most famous for leading the country during the American Civil War. His leadership in the North helped the country to remain strong and defeat the South keeping the country united. He also pushed for the freedom of all slaves throughout the nation.
3. MARTIN LUTHER KING JR
Martin Luther King, Jr., is known for his contributions to the American civil rights movement in the 1960s. His most famous work is his “I Have a Dream” (1963) speech, in which he spoke of his dream of the United States that is void of segregation and racism. King also advocated for nonviolent methods of protest.
4. MAHATMA GANDHI
Mohandas Gandhi was an Indian who fought for Indians and their rights. He was famous for being a man who fought in a non-violence way to accomplish his goals. In 1947 after lots of years of fighting for his country, Gandhi finally won his country's freedom.
5. WINSTON CHURCHILL
Churchill is best remembered for successfully leading Britain through World War Two. He was famous for his inspiring speeches, and for his refusal to give in, even when things were going badly.

Mother Teresa, the nun who became a saint. During her lifetime Mother Teresa became famous as the Catholic nun who dedicated her life to caring for the destitute and dying in the slums of Calcutta - now known as Kolkata. ... Nelson Mandela is known for several things, but perhaps he is best known for successfully leading the resistance to South Africa's policy of apartheid in the 20th century, during which he was infamously incarcerated at Robben Island Prison (1964–82).

Gates co-founded Microsoft with childhood friend Paul Allen in 1975 in Albuquerque, New Mexico; it went on to become the world's largest personal computer software company. He's an extremely generous philanthropist through the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.
10. OPRAH WINFREY
Oprah Winfrey is the first black woman billionaire and the richest African-American woman. She is also referred to by many as the most influential woman in the world.
In 2013, Winfrey was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom (the nation's highest civilian honor) by President Barack Obama.
