My top 15 favorite Hetalia characters

Please don’t complain or anything if your favorite character is not here (unless you’re joking).

I am also going to mention some Hetalia RPGs in the reasons part—I know I’m not supposed to do that as this video has nothing to do with those RPGs, but as they are a part of why I like some characters, I guess this is okay.

Reasons (List SPOILER!!!):

15. Estonia
I just like him as I think that he is a developed character—Himaruya also said that he is the best character as he based Estonia on himself, so clearly Estonia should be on this list.

14. Iceland
I have heard that he had a pretty sad backstory, or at least now he is trying to fit in with everyone else—especially with the other Nordics—and that reminds me of one of my friends, who is the youngest in her family and is also trying to fit in. Unfortunately, one day that friend of mine said that we should stop being friends and left me. Still, as he reminds me of her, and that reminds me of some of our times, and that’s kind of good to be honest.

13. Austria
I used to not like Austria because he was mean to Italy when he was little, but as I started to watch more and more episodes of Hetalia, I had begun to like him more and more—I mostly like his backstory and relationship with Switzerland—those two are just so cute together (plus, in season 6 it is shown that Italy forgave Austria and still loves being around him, so I thought I should forgive him too). I also think he looks fabulous and I like piano and cake! XD

12. Hungary
I like how she is beautiful and cool--I also like the female characters of Hetalia.

11. Switzerland
First, I think that he is a perfect brother—how he took care of Liechtenstein is just so cute. Like I said earlier, I think that his relationship with Austria is cute as well.

10. Romano
I used to not like him that much either, but recently I had begun to like him a lot more. One of the reasons is that I have begun to find him more and more relatable—I also don’t have many friends and as much as I like making friend, when the friend I mentioned at the Iceland part left me, I even tried to avoid people to prevent it from happening again; just like him, I also sometimes think that I am useless and no one cares about me and many other things. I also like how he is portrayed in HetaFox and HetaHazard.

9. Canada
Yeah, he is a bit overrated, but I just can not dislike him--I think he is cute (and I am also ignored a lot of times and I simply can't yell at or do anything bad to other people (unintentionally don't count).

8. America
I think that he is very funny and is just a big dork (is it bad/weird that I think he is hot?)

7. France
In my opinion, he had been through quite a lot in his past, mostly with Joan of Arc. Yet, many fans still sees him as a monster somehow and dislikes him and make jokes that attracted many hates to the APH fandom. I just can't help but feel sorry for him.

6. Italy
I think he is super cute and I liked him a lot ever since I first watched Hetalia. When I had begun to like him a little less, I saw a certain discontinued Hetalia RPG and had begun to like him even more--

5. Russia
I had always found him relatable. First, I had been bullied in the past and literally had no friends just like him, and I also wish I could get revenge on those bullies. Second, I also sometimes don’t know what I am doing is wrong, just like him, thanks to a mental illness. Except unlike him, who gets away with everything, I would get yelled at for everything.

4. Japan
I even found him relatable at one point--I can't exactly say relatable, I just like the concept of him just coming out of his place and experience things outside. That kind of happened to me when I first moved to a new country.

3. Germany
I felt super bad for him after listening to the song “Einsamkeit” (the song itself is also really relatable). I simply don’t get why had he caused so many people to hate Hetalia—and at one point I even saw some Hetalia fans just feeling no sympathy towards him! Just……why?!

2. China
I think he's wise, cute, caring and cool. There's also another reason that I'll explain more when I make a video about my favorite Hetalia ships. There's not enough space anyways.

1. Prussia
When I first watched Hetalia, I thought that he was just another character. Until I saw the CMV “Until the day I die” and begun to love him—but he did not become my favorite character until I saw HetaFox. He is just a perfect brother for Germany. I also like how he is portrayed in some other Hetalia RPGs.
