N. Korean leader sends letter to President Moon expressing hope to overcome COVID-19

North Korean leader Kim Jong-un has sent a letter to President Moon Jae-in expressing sympathy as South Korea battles the COVID-19 outbreak.
According to a briefing just minutes ago from the presidential office,... Kim's letter, sent yesterday, also expressed hope that the country overcomes the virus.

"North Korean leader Kim Jong-un expressed words of consolation in his letter for those who are fighting COVID-19. He said he will wish for the health of the people in the South."
The top office added that Kim also expressed concern for the health of President Moon,... and that he will quietly support efforts to enable South Korea to overcome the situation.
The presidential office said the letter highlights Kim's friendship with and trust in President Moon.
Kim also shared his views about the Korean Peninsula,... but the Blue House did not elaborate.
President Moon sent a reply expressing his thanks.
