Just 12 days into the new year, and we already have a new world record!

Just this morning, Rhonex Kipruto smashed the previous 10k world record on the roads with an unreal time of 26:24. This bettered the previous mark of Joshua Cheptegei by 14 seconds!

After placing 3rd in the world championships in the 10,000 meters on the track, Kipruto obviously stepped up his game, as this performance makes him the 4th fastest runner in the history of the distance (track races included.)

Averaging 2:38 / Kilometer, Kipruto's performance will not soon be forgotten, and the future of the 10,000 meters is all the more bright because of this epic race.
