New York Yankees @ Cleveland Indians | Game Highlights | ALWC Game Two

It was a gloomy start tonight — both in terms of the weather and the game itself. Batting heavy and rain along with wind gusts approaching 40 MPH, Masahiro Tanaka struggled to find his rhythm, allowing four runs to cross in the first inning.

However, the Yankees offense was RELENTLESS. After Giancarlo Stanton got them on the board with a solo shot, two innings later, Gio Urshela CRUSHED a go-ahead grand slam to left-center to put the Bombers ahead. The game would soon be tied at six, then Gary SANCHEZ came through with a HUGE two-run blast to put the Yankees back ahead 8-6.

On the other hand, Cleveland’s offense was just as relentless — tying the game at 8 and soon taking the lead after.

Enter the 9th inning and New York would load the bases — eventually bringing Gary to the plate who knotted the game at 9 with a sac fly. Then the very next batter in DJ LeMahieu came through once again as he always does — singling in the go-ahead run to make it 10-9. Aroldis Chapman would then close it out in the ninth!

The Yankees have CLINCHED their ticket into the ALDS where they will face a familiar for... the Tampa Bay Rays. The Division Series will begin Monday night. LET’S GO YANKEES!
