Who knew we'd be doing Vancouver Canucks stuff this early? Well, it's all good here, since we're also talking about the Detroit Red Wings.

Rumours have come out from NHL insiders that, should Vancouver Canucks MVP goaltender Jacob Markstrom hit free agency, the Detroit Red Wings would be looking to make a big pitch for the 30-year-old netminder.

Likewise on the flip side, we have word that apparently Braden Holtby, former Stanley Cup Champion with the Washington Capitals, would really consider coming to the Vancouver Canucks, should they be in the hunt for a new goalie.

This all comes after both the Canucks and the Capitals were eliminated from the 2020 Stanley Cup Playoffs.

The 2020 Stanley Cup Playoffs are involving sixteen teams, which are the Boston Bruins, Tampa Bay Lightning, Washington Capitals, Philadelphia Flyers, Montreal Canadiens, Carolina Hurricanes, New York Islanders, and Columbus Blue Jackets in the East, and the Colorado Avalanche, St. Louis Blues, Vegas Golden Knights, Vancouver Canucks, Calgary Flames, Chicago Blackhawks, Arizona Coyotes, and Dallas Stars in the West.

The final matchup is the Dallas Stars VS Tampa Bay Lightning at the 2020 Stanley Cup Finals.

The Vegas Golden Knights got eliminated by the Dallas Stars in the Western Conference Finals in Game 5, and the New York Islanders were eliminated by the Tampa Bay Lightning in Game 6.

Of the Conference Semi-Final matchups, the Boston Bruins, Colorado Avalanche, Vancouver Canucks, and Philadelphia Flyers have been eliminated.

The eliminated teams of the 2020 NHL Playoffs from the qualifying play-in series are the Edmonton Oilers, Winnipeg Jets, Nashville Predators, Minnesota Wild, Pittsburgh Penguins, New York Rangers, Toronto Maple Leafs, and the Florida Panthers.

Teams eliminated from the first round of the 2020 NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs are the St. Louis Blues, Calgary Flames, Arizona Coyotes, Chicago Blackhawks, Columbus Blue Jackets, Montreal Canadiens, Carolina Hurricanes, and the Washington Capitals.

As for the Detroit Red Wings, they're mostly looking forward to using their 4th overall pick at the 2020 NHL Entry Draft.
