Ohio Youtube Meetup - November 2019

This is a short 'bonus' 2019 video that will probably be of more interest to viewers in the US midwest (though international viewers will learn what the game is that we in the central US call 'corn hole'!).

In mid-August 2019, just before my Wind River Range trip, I traveled to Columbus, Ohio to meet up with Andy and Kevin Schill (YouTube channel 'Schill Brothers Outdoors'). While I was there we recorded a few videos for their channel, and they also invited me to join them for the 2019 Ohio YouTube Meetup weekend in November. It sounded like a great opportunity to meet up with a number of people I've watched on YouTube backpacking channels so I told them I'd be there.

The Meetup was held at Mohican Memorial State Forest northeast of Columbus. I'd never been to that part of Ohio before but I found it to be a beautiful area, and a place I'll get back to in order to explore it further.

With the backpacking portion of the trip limited to one mile in each direction, this was more like an overnight 'car camping' trip (complete with a corn hole game, and steak and potatoes cooked over the fire), but it was a fantastic opportunity to meet a bunch of fellow YouTube backpackers and share stories around the fire.
