Description
McAllen City Manager Roy Rodriguez discusses the details of the Hidalgo County Emergency Order.
➢ No gatherings of ten (10) or more persons
➢ Closure of non-essential retail establishments, including but not limited to:
o Gyms, spas, massage parlors
o Hair and nail salons, barber shops
o Entertainment (movie theaters, bowling alleys)
➢ Restrictions do NOT apply to:
o Grocery Stores
o Gas stations
o Parks
o Essential retail establishments
o Hospitals, medical offices
o Bus, train, airport terminals
➢ Stay at Home Curfew- Do not leave home between 10 PM and 5 AM unless seeking
medical treatment, getting gas, getting essential household goods, going to bus terminal
or airport
➢ Price Controls- Cannot sell goods or services for more than the price for which they
were sold on March 17, 2020
➢ No evictions for 30 days
➢ Violations punishable by a fine up to $1,000 or up to 180 days in jail
➢ Remains in effect until April 5, 2020 unless rescinded
