Carnival Panorama is Carnival Cruise Line’s largest ship to date. This third Vista-class ship is now offering 7-night Mexican Riviera cruises from Long Beach, CA. The Princess and I decided to test the waters on this new ship with our first ever Carnival Cruise Line voyage. We are back and share everything with you in our Carnival Panorama Cruise Review.
If you enjoy the video, please make sure to give it a BIG THUMBS UP!
For our Carnival Panorama Cruise Review, we focus on 12 different aspects of the ship. From activities, to dining, entertainment, and everything in between, as well as the ports of call.
Carnival Panorama is home to 15 decks of dining, entertainment, and amenities that are fun for cruisers of all ages. With several pools, mini-golf, a basketball court, a ropes course, the line’s SkyRide, and the brand new Sky Zone trampoline park, there is plenty of fun to be had on the open decks. Luckily, crowding was never an issue throughout the trip. We were able to find loungers near the Beach Pool, never waited more than a few minutes for a drink, and enjoyed all of the sports deck activities.
Like most contemporary cruise lines, Carnival Panorama features your typical assortment of activities including trivia, seminars, fitness classes, and Fun Squad events like the Hairy Chest Contest. The Cruise Director Emma on Carnival Panorama was amazing. Her staff always had plenty of energy and enthusiasm at all of the events.
At night, there are several lounges and bars offering diverse entertainment. Signature drinks and Latin-inspired tunes are featured in the Havana Bar. Or, you could laugh it up with four different comedians at the Limelight Lounge. Our favorite bar on Carnival Panorama was the Alchemy Bar, serving hand crafted cocktails not found anywhere else on the ship.
Perhaps, the one area that surprised us the most on Carnival Panorama was the food. We were both extremely impressed with all of the casual eateries on the vessel. Guy’s Burger Joint, the BlueIguana Cantina, the Deli located within the buffet, and the Pizzeria all exceeded our expectations.
The main dining room was also noteworthy, providing excellent service and food that certainly rivaled other cruise lines. Also, the line’s signature Sea Day Brunch might just be our new favorite dining experience at sea!
This cruise on Carnival Panorama included three ports of call.
Our first stop was a tender into Cabo San Lucas. Here, we did a whale watching and harbor cruise, followed by some time walking around the port area. We made our way to Cabo Wabo for some drinks and food before returning to the ship.
In Mazatlan, we did a tour through Carnival Cruise Line. This included a 90 minute harbor cruise and then a bus tour. The bus tour included a trip through the older parts of the city and approximately 75 minutes to explore the “Golden Zone”.
Lastly, in Puerto Vallarta, we strolled the Malecon for a few hours before preparing for our evening excursion to Rhythms of the Night. We would highly recommend this popular excursion.
Overall, Carnival Panorama offered amazing food, plenty of activities, and a fun and memorable cruise. While this was our first cruise with Carnival Cruise Line, it certainly will not be our last trip with the line!
