Description
Senior executives from brands, networks, and the NAACP gather for PaleyIMPACT on July 30, 2020, to comment on the need for social justice and how organizations can help achieve equality. Topics include: when each panelist became aware of the George Floyd video and how they reacted to his death; Williams' feeling on why ""conservative"" companies like WarnerMedia didn't embrace Black Lives Matter until Floyd was killed; concrete steps for how civil rights for all must now be addressed; showing African Americans as part of a solution rather than merely victims; the standards to which black content creators are being held; CBS's new Race and Culture Unit and its potential; and acknowledging the problems of racial disparity, and collaborating to combat them.
