From the '60s till 1985 pear export was dominated by Italy.
From the late '80s till 2005 most pears were exported by Argentina.
In 2017 most pears were exported by China, followed by the Netherlands and Belgium.
The total world export of pears in 2017 is about 2 800 000 tonnes.
