On Prime Time, Ravish Kumar presents a ground report of the protests that have been going on for over 20 days in South Delhi's Shaheen Bagh. Hundreds of women have been spending entire nights in the bone-chilling cold in sit-in protests against the Citizenship (Amendment) Act. On being asked why they are particularly opposed to CAA and NRC but didn't protest in the same manner when cases were reported from across the country of mob lynching deaths, one of the protesting women said, "This is a direct attack on the Constitution of the country. If we had protested against mob lynching, we would have been accused of fighting only for the rights of Muslim men killed in mob lynching. Our protest is to safeguard our Constitution and the rights of poor in the country". (Audio in Hindi)
