Ravish Kumar speaks to Dr Faizan Mustafa of NALSAR University of Law about the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill tabled in the Lok Sabha by Home Minister Amit Shah. Dr Mustafa says that the bill goes not only against Article 14 of the Constitution but goes against the Preamble to the Constitution itself. "If there is a classification, the goal should be rational. If we wish to help minorities in our neighbouring countries, it is very easy, we can sign the refugee convention," he adds.
