F1, the absolute top of motorsport since nearly the beginning of auto racing. Back in the early 1900s it was Auto Union vs Mercedes, fighting each other in enormous, heavy, silver painted machines. There’s much debate whether or not this era of high end motorsport can be seen as F1 (or even as its prologue) but there’s no denying the fact that it laid the ground for what would eventually become Formula 1. Since then, we’ve seen a massive advance in racing technology and practices. You’ll surely remember when F1 cars had V12s, DFV V8s, V10s, V12s again, V6s and so on. In this episode of “From The Archives,” we’ll be diving into all of those and more.

About "From The Archives": Back in December of 2012, HistoricRacingHD was formed. Its foundations were an undeniable passion for cars and the desire to share that passion with the world.
