Description
Rava kesari is south indian famous instant sweet.Rava or sooji,sugar and ghee is the basic ingredients also termed as sooji halwa in north india.One of the healthiest sweet for kids.To make it healthier version for adults sugar and ghee measurement can be reduced.
Ingredients:
Rava/suji : 1 cup
Sugar : 1.5 cups
Ghee : 4 tablespoon
Water : 3 cups
Cashew nuts: As reqd
Dry grapes. : As reqd
Cardamon : Pinch
Kesari / Food color : Pinch
cooking time : 10 min
Preparation method: Roast sooji/rava with little ghee in a pan. Fry cashew and dry grapes in ghee seperately. Now add water to the pan and allow to boil well. Add the roasted rava into boiling water and stir continuosly to avoid lumps. Add pinch of kesari / food color and stir well to spread evenly. Once the rava is cooked completely add sugar and stir again until it dissolves. Now add the elachi powder and ghee in low flame. Cook for 1 minute & top up with fried cashews and raisins. Now kesari is ready to serve.
