Republicans vote against calling witnesses in Trump impeachment trial

The vast majority of Republican senators have voted against allowing witnesses and documents to be admitted in the upcoming impeachment trial of President Donald Trump.

The move has been condemned by Democrats, with Hillary Clinton urges voters to turf President Trump out of office in this year's presidential election.

President Trump was impeached in the House of Representatives on charges of he abused his power and obstructed Congress.
