Robert's Ulcer Bursts! | Downton Abbey

During a very tense dinner debate about town vs. government control of the hospitals, Robert ironically finds himself being immediately rushed to the hospital himself after suffering a burst ulcer at the dinner table. Even for Downton, this dinner has been particularly eventful!

From Series 6 Episode 5:Andy confesses to Thomas that he is illiterate, and accepts Barrows offer to educate him in secret. Edith hires a female editor and also develops a romance with Bertie Pelham. Violet persuades the Minister of Health, Neville Chamberlain to attend dinner at Downton. Robert suddenly coughs up blood at the table, due to his ulcer busting and is rushed to the hospital immediately.
