ROCKY BURNETTE Tired Of Toein' The Line EXTENDED CLIP

Australia gave Rocky Burnette his greatest success and prevented him from being a one hit wonder when he scored successive hits with 'Tired Of Toein' The Line' and 'Fallin' In Love' both in 1980. The former and the subject of this post, was a #1 smash downunder where it spent 26 weeks in the chart and eleven in the Top 10. The follow up managed a very respectable #6, but in America (his homeland), Rocky only scored the one hit and it reached #8. The singer did a promotional tour in Australia which helped both singles and also pushed his debut LP 'The Son Of Rock & Roll' - a reference to his father - Johnny Burnette - a famed rockabilly musician. I had the album on vinyl and it did have some great upbeat tracks on it, but sadly Rocky Burnette was a two hit wonder here and although he continued to record, nothing was heard from him success wise after that wonderful year - 1980.
