San Beda University Red Lions participated in the 2018 Dubai International Basketball in UAE (Al Ahli Sporting Club) on January 19-26,2018. The SBU Red Lions faced several professional teams, from Lebanon(3), USA(1), Libya(1), Morocco(1), Tunisia(2) & UAE(1).

SAN BEDA UNIVERSITY RED LIONS (Philippines)
-A collegiate varsity basketball team from the Philippines that plays in the NCAA and is the only founding member of the NCAA left in the league. They've a total of 7 NCAA Championships.
SAGESSE SPORTS CLUB (Lebanon)
-The basketball team was established in 1992, as part of the historic Club Sagesse established in 1943 with mainly the football (soccer) team. The basketball team became far more popular than the initial football team thus making the basketball branch the most popular branch of the club.So far they've 8 Lebanese Championships, 3 FIBA Asia Champions Cups, 3 West Asian Championships & 2 Arab Club Basketball Championships. This team is the most successful team in Lebanon besides Al Riyadi.
AS SALÉ (Morocco)
-The club competes in the Division Excellence and the Basketball Africa League (BAL). Salé has won the Moroccan championship seven times and the Moroccan cup eleven times. The team won one continental title, the FIBA Africa Champions Cup which it won in 2017.
ÉTOILE SPORTIVE DU SAHEL (Tunisia)
-A Tunisian professional basketball club from Sousse. The club competes in the Tunisian Division I Basketball League. Sahel has won one FIBA Africa Champions Cup, in 2011. They've total of 11 championships in Tunisia.
UNITED ARAB EMIRATES NT (UAE)
-Represents the United Arab Emirates in international basketball competitions and is controlled by United Arab Emirates Basketball Association.The UAE has qualified for more major international basketball tournaments than any other nation on the Arabian Peninsula except for Kuwait.At the Arab Nations Cup, the UAE had its best performance in 1997 when it won the bronze medal.

-Was founded in 1924, and is one of the oldest teams in the league. It won its first Lebanese League Championship in 2018. Among the well-known top class players are Fadi El Khatib & Nate Robinson.
