School's Out Forever! | The Best Way to Fix Education in America
Description
This video explores how to how to fix the American education system.
Education is broken. You know this. I know this. We all know this…
K - 12 spending has increased…
University tuition has increased…
But U.S. educational standards have decreased. For example, 12th grade history textbooks are now written at a 7th grade level.
And 4 out of 10 college graduates are working in jobs that don’t require a college degree.
Crazily enough, some people think the problem with our education system is that we are not pouring ENOUGH money into it.
You know who these people are? Democrats.
Democrats want to pour evermore money into our broken education system because it isn’t broken for them!
It may not work for students or college graduates, but it works for the academic establishment!
And it works for the Democratic establishment by brainwashing America’s youth into believing that the government is ALWAYS the answer and anyone who denies this is a…
[insert label, which to fully understand the label we need to spend at least 4 years studying it at a university].j
For example...
Tom: “Racist!”
Jerry: “Huh, how am I racist? I don’t believe any race is superior to another race.”
Tom: “Ha! You don’t even know what racist means!!! I can’t be racist because I belong to a disempowered racial group. You made a microaggression! It’s complicated. But like you are racist. Just accept it!”
So the way the academic and Democratic establishment wish to “improve” education is by forcing taxpayers to give more money to our broken education system and by forcing young people to stay locked in it longer.
Joe Biden specifically wants to make public universities free for families who make under $125,000. He also wants to give universities billions of dollars to fund the expansion of their facilities, outreach programs, federal work-study as well as providing additional privileges and money to minority-serving institutions.
This is a subtle way to chain young people to a liberal professor.
Now I know that might sound harsh, but think logically…
What choice would an 18 year old have?
Go straight into the workforce…
Or join his friends for a $100,000 all-expense-paid 4 year ride to an all-inclusive resort and all he has to do is periodically sit through a liberal professor’s lecture.
It’s a no-brainer!
Of course, the overwhelming majority of young people will attend indoctrination camp, i.e. university.
If you’re a Democrat you may not think of it this way because you’ve so thoroughly bought into the myth that schools are essential to education.
This used to be more of the case, but changing times requires changing attitudes.
Clearly throwing more money at schools hasn’t improved education so what will work?
Change starts with a simple proposition: WE MUST TAKE POWER AWAY FROM SCHOOLS in order to...
EMPOWER STUDENTS!
Currently, students are passive participants in their education with very little control over their own destiny.
I say the bell has rung! TIME IS UP!
Schools were imagined during a time when there was no internet and employment was rigid.
In the past, it made more sense to train the masses to be obedient puppets because the masses muscles mattered more than their minds.
Now our muscles are being replaced by machines.
The work of today and tomorrow has much more to do with the mind via critical, abstract, and creative thinking.
The exact sort of thinking that our education system has traditionally penalized. Color in the lines! Stay in the box!
“Governments don’t want well-informed, well-educated people capable of critical thinking. That is against their interests. They want obedient workers, people who are just smart enough to run the machines and do the paperwork. And just dumb enough to passively accept it.” — George Carlin
How do we empower students?
TESTS! TESTS! TESTS!
A good school gets it’s credibility from testing. The higher their student’s score on standardized tests then the better the school is ranked.
I believe a non-profit and/or the U.S. government should create a multi-billion-dollar test-taking website. Let’s call it TakeTheTest.com!
TakeTheTest.com would offer a wide array of tests to judge your skills in a wide variety of areas.

If you pass a test you get a BADGE.
The main reason people go to university is to get a diploma. You pay a massive premium for that piece of paper!

But that piece of paper tells an employer very little. He may not even heard of your university or your major. Badges, however, could tell an employer much more accurately the level of an applicant’s knowledge and expertise and therefore...
