Description
Arab chopped salad , whatever you choose to call it ,there's no escaping it. If using yogurt and milk ,start at least 3 hours and up to a day in advance but placing both in a bowl .Whisk well and leave in a cool place or in the fridge until bubbles forms on the surface what our get is homemade buttermilk ,but less sour
Year the bread into bit size pieces and place into large mixing bowl add fermented yogurt ,followed by the rest of ingredients mix well and leave for 10 minutes for all the flavours to combine .Spoon the fattoush into serving bowls ,drizzle some olive oil and garnish with sumac and dried mint.Enjoy!
Ingredients:
1/2 cup prepared buttermilk
,2 stale Turkish bread or pita bread
1cucumber
2 medium tomatoes
spring onion
2 tbsp lemon juice
60 ml olive oil
sumac
salt and black pepper to taste
15 grams mint
25 grams parsley
handful of fresh coriander leaves
